THEMATIC WORK GROUP Nº 6 BILBAO, 28-30 SEPTEMBER, 2006 III CLIOHRES MEETING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DEUSTO
Dear friends:
As our meeting in Bilbao is getting closer, we would like all of you to have some practical information concerning your arrival and the arrangements we have made.
First of all, your hotel will be HOTEL BARCELÓ-NERVIÓN, Campo
Volantín Street nº 11, very close to the University of Deusto.
When arriving to Bilbao Airport, called “La Paloma”, you can either
go to the city centre by shuttle bus or by taxi. I include two
maps (Bilbao and surroundings) to know places and distances. The
timetable and route of the bus is the following:
AIRPORT- BILBAO
There is a Bus line BILBAO- AEROPUERTO (“La
Paloma”, Loiu/Lujua)
Line A-3247
The timetable from Bilbao to the Airport is:
DAYLY: 5:25; 5:55; 6:30; and from 6:55 to 21:55, each 30 minutes.
Stops: Termibus (Bus Station), Gran Vía 79, Plaza Moyua 3 (YOUR
STOP), Alameda Rekalde 11, Airport/ Aeropuerto de Bilbao-Loiu/Lujua
(Arrivals Terminal).
From the Airport to Bilbao:
DAYLY: From 6:15 to 23:15 each 30 minutes. And 24:00 hours.
Stops: Airport (Arrivals Terminal), Alam. Rekalde, Gran Vía (Building
of the Delegation of the Central Government, in Moyua Square) (YOUR
STOP), Gran Via 74, Termibus (Bus Station).
If you take this Bus, you must stop at the MOYUA SQUARE. You need
to take another Bus to reach the Hotel. The HOTEL NERVIÓN is near
the Town Hall.
Cross the square (Plaza MOYUA) or go to the left handside to find
the regular Bus stop located in Gran Vía number 72.
The stop is located in the same side of the street of MANGO Boutique,
near the elevator of the Metro (The Metro doesn’t link your address
conveniently).
The Bus to arrive to your Hotel is line 72 (direction Castaños
Street). You must go out the bus after the Town Hall stop, because
the next stop is few meters close to your hotel, HOTEL BARCELÓ-
NERVION. The ticket-price of the shuttle bus is 1.20€.
If you prefer to go by taxi to the hotel from this point, there is a taxi stop beside HOTEL CARLTON in the MOYUA SQUARE.
For those who want to come by taxi directly from the airport to the hotel, tell to the driver to reach Hotel Barceló-Nervión, in Campo Volantín Street, nº 11, taking the tunnel of Artxanda, and the exit “Deusto”. It is more rapid. The taxi-fee is around 20€.
OTHER PRACTICAL INFORMATION
We will leave the general information about the meeting in your
hotel, nevertheless it is important to know that we will meet us
in the lobby of the hotel at 20:45. We will dinner together at
21:00 in the same hotel.
The campus of the University is 15 minutes walking from your hotel by the riverside, in direction to the Deusto district. We will celebrate our meeting in the room 110, in the ground floor of the new building of the University. Our meeting point will be in the main entrance of the central building, at 9:00 o’clock in the morning (picture included).
For those who are leaving Bilbao on Sunday afternoon or evening, we have planned a touristic visit to the old town from 10:30 am.
